Summer is one of the hardest times of year to avoid alcohol. Whether it’s the temptation of a cold beer at a barbecue, a fruity cocktail at the pool or a glass of wine while stargazing in your backyard, the lure of an alcoholic beverage lurks at every turn.

If you’re trying to keep away from alcohol entirely, you might find yourself making excuses to get out of social situations where you know that beer, wine, and liquor will be flowing.
